He is working as an Assistant Professor at Center for Advanced Studies in Telecommunication (CAST), COMSATS University, Islamabad. His research interest is in Digital signal and image processing, computer vision, pattern recognition, fuzzy logic. He is leading the signal processing research group (SPRG) at CAST. He has the membership of various engineering organizations including Pakistan Engineering Council, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and Society of Photographic Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE).
